Great egret
There is something specific about egrets, herons, and storks. They look incredibly majestic, almost like swamp dinosaurs, spending the entire day in silence hunting for aquatic animals, and roosting in the trees by evening. Maybe that’s why I love photographing them so much.
I spotted this Great Egret while searching for a rare lifer. It was posing so coolly that I completely forgot about my original mission and focused entirely on it. That is the beauty of wildlife photography—you never really know what will suddenly appear in front of your lens.
