Boreal Chickadee

Boreal Chickadee – the true Vikings of the North. A hardy cousin of the popular Black-capped Chickadee, perfectly adapted to thrive in harsh, rugged environments with its earthy brown and grey camouflage. Unlike their noisy cousins, these little northern survivalists often move quietly through the thick spruce and balsam fir canopy. You usually hear their distinct, raspy call long before you see them. Spotting one feels like finding a small, tough piece of the true boreal wilderness.
