Black-crowned night heron
Black-crowned Night Herons are easily one of my favorite subjects to photograph. There is something uniquely atmospheric about capturing them as the sun goes down and the light fades. Beyond their striking look, they are remarkably clever hunters—famously known to use feathers or bait to lure fish within striking distance.
