Boreal Owl
The Boreal Owl is one of the rarest owls in Ontario. They are true ghosts of the deep taiga—quiet, mysterious, and entirely tied to the remote northern wilderness. In the Ottawa area, they only show up during the winter. I was beyond thrilled to finally cross paths with one and capture these photos. The owl was sitting on a branch observing everything around, from time to time closing its eyes and enjoying the warmth of the sun. That was an amazing moment!
